The Shoemaker Point is a headland in the south of Bird Iceland before the western end of South Georgia . It is located 800 m east of Jordan Cove .

The South Georgia Survey mapped them as part of its survey campaign, which ran from 1951 to 1957. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them in 1963. Shoemaker ( German  shoemaker ) is an English-language name from the seaman's jargon for the white-chin petrel ( Procellaria aequinoctialis ), one of whose breeding areas Bird Island is.
