The Shoesmith Glacier (English for Hufschmiedgletscher ) is a glacier on Horseshoe Iceland before Fallières coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is the largest glacier on the island and flows westward into both Lystad Bay and Gaul Cove .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 based on the name of Horseshoe Island (English for horseshoe island ).
