The Shrimpy was a 18-foot Kimmkieler , with Shane Acton from 1972 to 1980, the world orbited.

The Shrimpy , as Acton called the boat he bought for £ 400 and baptized the Super Shrimp , was a hard chine made of 9mm boat plywood by Robert Tucker. The keels each weighed 250 pounds and gave the boat sufficient stability. In the cabin there were two beds and a stove.

Until 1987 the Shrimpy was the smallest sailing yacht that was ever circumnavigated the earth; she was replaced by the almost 12 foot long Acrohc Australis as the smallest sailing yacht currently available.

The whereabouts of the Shrimpy is not clear. There is evidence that the boat was destroyed in a tropical cyclone.
