The Shrove Cove is a bay of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is located around 6 km south of Saint Martha Cove on the west side of Croft Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1993 so because the cruise on the RRS John Biscoe for measuring this bay on February 7, 1989, a Shrove Tuesday ( English Shrove Tuesday ), has taken place.
