Sidney Lee
Sir Sidney Lazarus Lee (born December 5, 1859 in London ; † March 3, 1926 there ) was a British biographer and literary historian.
Life
He was also the editor of the Dictionary of National Biography and published a. a. Stratford-on-Avon (new ed. 1890) and Shakespeare .
From 1913 to 1924 he was Professor of English Language and Literature at the University of London. In 1910 he was elected to the British Academy and in 1914 to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
