Sidy Koné , sometimes also Sidi Koné , (born June 6, 1992 in Bamako ) is a Malian football player.

Career

society

After Sidy Koné played for Jeanne d'Arc FC for three years in his hometown Bamako , he emigrated to France in 2010 and joined the youth team at Olympique Lyon . In his first year he not only played for the youth team, but also played thirteen games for Lyon's B-team. For the 2011/12 season Koné was nominated by coach Rémi Garde for the squad of the professional team and got jersey number 22. On August 20, 2011, he made his professional game debut against Stade Brest , but had to do so early in the 1-1 draw due to a red card Leave field. In January 2013 he switched to SM Caen on loan for half a year .

National team

Koné was part of the Malian U-20 national team , which took part in the U-20 African Cup of Nations in 2011 and failed in the semi-finals against eventual winners Nigeria .
