Slavko Ziherl

Slavko Ziherl (born September 23, 1945 in Ljubljana , Yugoslavia ; † January 21, 2012 Ljubljana, Slovenia ) was a Slovenian psychiatrist and politician.

He studied at the Medical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana , specialized in neuropsychology , received his doctorate and completed several stays abroad. From 1978 to 1990 he headed the Center for Alcoholics at the University Psychiatric Clinic in Ljubljana. He was the head of the Outpatient Clinic for the Cure of Sexual Disorders and at times director of the Ljubljana Psychiatric Clinic. Since 1997 he has taught at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana, and he has also taught forensic psychopathology at the Faculty of Law there.

He was a member of the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia , belonged to its party executive committee and represented the party in the city council of Ljubljana.
