Siegbert Kardach

Siegbert Kardach (born October 3, 1940 in Breslau ) is a German writer doctor , especially aphorist .

Live and act

After relocating from Silesia due to the war , Kardach grew up in Sömmerda in Thuringia . There he also attended high school, which he graduated from high school in 1959. Then he studied human medicine in Berlin and Erfurt until 1965 . The compulsory assistant followed from 1966 to 1970 further training as a specialist in internal medicine and a doctorate at the Medical Academy in Erfurt . The topic was: "Determination of the carbon monoxide immission in the city of Erfurt". From 1970 Kardach was "Medical Director for Specialized Medical Care" in the Erfurt district and internist at the South Polyclinic, and from 1991 to 2005 resident internist in Erfurt. "

Kardach greatly admired his academic teacher, Professor August Sundermann . In 2007 he organized and led a celebration on the occasion of his 100th birthday, in which all of Sundermann's former employees took part. Kardach's efforts to preserve the memory of him and other prominent personalities from the Erfurt Medical Academy in Erfurt street names, however, remained in vain.

Kardach regularly publishes poetry and aphorisms in the daily press and on the radio and has been an active member of the Federal Association of German Writers and Doctors (BDSÄ) since 2000 .

Kardach's volume Medicine dropwise (2009) was awarded the Horst Joachim Rheindorf Prize in 2010 . His current book (2020), "Kluge Köpfe roll fastest" was judged by the "Leipziger Internet Zeitung" as follows: "The wonderfully sarcastic view of a Thuringian doctor on the goings-on of the human race now living".

Kardach's special interests are: literature, music, theater and football.
