The Victory Prospectus ( Ukrainian Проспект Перемоги ) is one of the longest streets in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev . It is named after the Soviet Union's victory over Germany .
location
The 11,800 meter long prospect is to the west of the city. It begins in Stadtrajon Shevchenko as an extension of Taras Shevchenko Boulevard at Victory Square and merges into the M 06 / Brest-Lithuania motorway ( Брест-Литовське шосе ) in Stadtrajon Svyatoschyn .
Development
On the street is the Kiev Zoo (No. 32), the Alexander Pushkin Park and Memorial, the Wedding Palace (No. 11), numerous museums (Education and Science Museum (No. 10), Wax Museum at No. 29, Metro Museum (No. 35), Polytechnic Museum, Museum of Film Studios (No. 44), Circus Museum (No. 82)), some monuments, ministries such as the Ministry of Infrastructure (No. 14) and universities such as the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI “ And the National Wadym Hetman Economic University of Kiev . Construction of the tallest building in Ukraine, the Sky Towers , located at number 13, is scheduled for completion in 2016.
