Siegfried Herrmann (sports official)

Siegfried Herrmann (born August 20, 1886 in Munich ; † June 4, 1971 there ) was a German police officer and football official .

He held several positions at FC Bayern Munich , the club he joined shortly after it was founded on February 27, 1900. For many years he was the youth leader and vice-president (2nd chairman) of the association. In the 25th year of his activity, he was offered honorary membership. As a result of the takeover of power by the National Socialists , on April 12, 1933, he temporarily replaced Bavaria President Kurt Landauer , with whom he had previously worked closely. Siegfried Herrmann's first term of office ended on September 19, 1934.

A second term lasted from the end of the war until August 19, 1947. He resigned for professional reasons, but at the same time cleared the way for the Landau who had returned from exile . Herrmann remained loyal to the association until his death. After 1945, he had on a new statutes involved. He was appointed honorary chairman of the association.
