Siegfried III. from Boyneburg

Siegfried III. von Boyneburg (* around 1050; † 1107 ) from the Northeim family was Count of Boyneburg from 1083 to 1107 .

He was the youngest son of Duke Otto von Bayern from the Northeim family and Richenza von Swabia , daughter of Duke Otto II.

Siegfried and his brother Kuno were hostages of King Henry IV in 1075/76 and later became his loyal supporters. Siegfried was Count in Hessengau , Nethegau and Ittergau , Vogt of Corvey and Northeim . In 1089 he was a judge over Margrave Ekbert II of Braunschweig-Meißen and pronounced eight over him .

He married Countess Adelheid von Holstein. The two only son was Siegfried IV. Von Boyneburg . Their daughter was Richenza von Boyneburg .
