Siegfried Manthey (born February 10, 1932 ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Manthey belonged to the squad of 1. FC 01 Bamberg at the age of 23 , for which he was active in the 2. Oberliga Süd in the 1955/56 season . After the team had to relegate as bottom of the table in the third-class amateur league Bayern Staffel Nord , he left the club.
Manthey was then obliged for the 1956/57 season by Bayern Munich, who had returned to the Oberliga Süd after a year of abstinence . For Bayern , he played 21 point games in his first season in the top German division at the time, but remained without a goal. He made his debut on November 25, 1956 (13th matchday) in the 0-1 defeat in the home game against Karlsruher SC ; he scored his only goal in his last season on August 24, 1958 (2nd match day) in the 2: 4 defeat in the home game against VfR Mannheim with the goal to 1: 1 in the 22nd minute. He also played in all seven games in the competition for the South German Cup and scored twice, and each time transfers a goal in four in the replays on March 3, 1957: 0 win at home against the SpVgg Neu-Isenburg with the opening goal in the 13 .Minute, and on June 15, 1957 in a 3-1 win at home against KSV Hessen Kassel with the goal to the final score in the 77th minute.
