Siegfried Vogt

Siegfried Vogt (born October 23, 1912 in Dresden ; † May 23, 1998 ) was a German painter .

The Vogt, who works as a portrait painter, completed an apprenticeship at the Dresden Art Academy with Otto Dix and Ferdinand Dorsch . In 1937 he received the Hugo Göpfert Prize from the Hugo Göpfert Foundation . His most important works include the portraits he made of ten IHK presidents. After the Second World War , Vogt lived in Niederheuslingen in the Siegerland and taught at Siegen schools. He died at the age of 85.
