Sieghard-Carsten fight (* 6. December 1942 in Züllichau , Schwiebus ) is a German politician of the CDU , former member of the Hamburg Parliament and Medical Director of the Catholic Mary Hospital Hamburg .

Life and work

Sieghard-Carsten Kampf studied medicine and philosophy at the universities of Hamburg , Bonn and Heidelberg . After completing his studies, a position as a scientific assistant at the physiological-chemical institute of the University of Hamburg followed.

Since 1978 he has been a specialist in laboratory medicine , transfusion medicine and microbiology as well as infection epidemiology at the Catholic Marienkrankenhaus. Since 1978 he has been chief physician of the Institute for Laboratory Medicine, Microbiology and Transfusion Medicine (ILMT) and since January 1, 2001 he has been the medical director of the hospital. As part of his job, he was a lecturer at the University of Hamburg for many years.

In 2005 he received the honorary title of "Professor" from the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg for his political and social activities.

Sieghard-Carsten Kampf was a member of the Hamburg parliament for the CDU from June 1978 to October 2001 . There he was health and university policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group . Between 1980 and 1995 he was the Deputy Federal Chairman of the Evangelical Working Group of the CDU / CSU .
