Sieglinde Puttrich-Gurth

Sieglinde Puttrich-Gurth (born August 2, 1937 in Forst (Lausitz) ) is a German doctor and former politician ( LDPD ). She was a member of the 8th electoral term of the Volkskammer of the German Democratic Republic (GDR).

Life

Puttrich-Gurth, daughter of a working-class family, studied medicine from 1955 to 1960 at the Humboldt University in Berlin and the Medical Academy in Dresden . From 1961 to 1967 she worked as an assistant doctor at the Forst District Hospital. In 1962 she received her doctorate in medicine . From 1967 she worked as a specialist in internal medicine . From 1968 she was a senior doctor, then medical director of the Forst District Polyclinic. In 1979 she was appointed Medical Councilor.

In 1955 she became a member of the Free German Trade Union Federation (FDGB), and in 1967 she joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Germany (LDPD). From 1969 she was district chairman of the National Front in Forst and a member of the district council. In 1970 she was elected to the LDPD district board of forest. From 1981 to 1986 she was a member of the People's Chamber and a member of the Committee on Health Care.
