Siegmund Schütz

Siegmund Schütz (born July 26, 1906 in Dessau , † April 28, 1998 in Berlin ) was a German porcelain modeler, medalist , sculptor and wood carver .

Life

From 1926, Schütz studied sculpture in Karlsruhe, and from 1928 to 1931 he studied at the Applied Arts Academy in Dresden. He then worked from 1932 to 1936 as a freelance and then as a permanent artistic employee of the Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur Berlin and designed for these individual pieces and services until the 1970s, e.g. B. with Trude Petri the service Arkadia with biscuit medallions. His son is the graphic designer Wieland Schütz .
