Siegwart Honest
Siegwart Ehrlich (born December 17, 1881 in Leipzig , † January 20, 1941 in Barcelona ) was a German pop composer .
Ehrlich was known by the pseudonyms Victorio and Sydney Ward . He composed a variety of melodies that became very popular. One of them was Amalie geht mit'm Gummikavalier from 1927, which was first performed in the cabaret revue Strictly prohibited . Since Ehrlich was considered a Jew , he fled Germany in 1933 and settled in Spain.
He also wrote the music for the film Der Tanz ins Glück .
