Sierra Kay Kusterbeck (born December 18, 1990 in St. Petersburg , Florida ) is an American musician and model . She is the singer of the band Versa , which was founded in 2007 under the name VersaEmerge and was under contract with Fueled by Ramen until 2013 .

Sierra Kay Kusterbeck was born on December 18, 1990 in St. Petersburg , Florida , USA . She took singing lessons in third grade.

Career

Kusterbeck took part in an audition in 2006 to join VersaEmerge as a singer. Her contribution was a cover version of the band's The Blank Static Scene . While the musicians were unsure whether Kusterbeck would fit into the band, guitarist Blake Harnage persuaded the other members and Kusterbeck was integrated into the band as a singer. At the time, she was only 16 years old.

In May 2008 the first EP with Kusterbeck as a singer was released under the title Perceptions . The group was signed to Fueled by Ramen and released the EP named after the band in 2009. On June 22nd, 2010 the debut album Fixed at Zero was finally released . In 2013 the contract with the label ended and the group announced to change their name. The band has been performing under the name Versa since 2014 .

She is on the single Avalon by Professor Green to hear what is on place 29 of the UK singles chart was able to place. She was also a guest musician in the play If It Means a Lot to You by A Day to Remember , Contagious by Anarbor and the play West Coast to hear from Gimme & Gammon.

She has been a model since 2011. She is the face of the shoe company Payless ShoeSource .
