Professor Green
Professor Green is the stage name of the rapper Stephen Paul Manderson (born November 27, 1983 in London , Great Britain ). His style of music consists mainly of rap and grime .
biography
Manderson started rapping as an MC at the age of 18 . He won over 100 rap battles and got some prizes in the scene. His first mixtape ( Lecture # 1 ) he published in 2006. After he had received a recording contract with Virgin Records in 2009, the album Alive Till I'm Dead was released in 2010 . From this album comes the first single I Need You Tonight , which made it into the top 20 of the European charts and even number 3 in Great Britain. I Need You Tonight is based on a sample of the song Need You Tonight by INXS .
In 2009, Manderson supported singer Lily Allen during her tour.
That same year in May, Manderson was stabbed in the neck with a broken beer bottle. It just missed his carotid artery. Since the attack, the rapper has had a thick scar on his neck, over which he had the word "Lucky" tattooed.
The first single from his 2011 album At Your Inconvenience was a No. 1 hit in Great Britain, in Germany Read All About It (feat. Emeli Sandé ) was the first track to make it into the German single charts .
