The Sierra de Callosa is a mountain range in Spain and part of the Betic Cordillera . It is located in the municipality of Callosa de Segura in the province of Alicante , which in turn belongs to the Valencian Community . The highest point, La Cruz de En Medio, reaches a height of 578 m.
The Sierra de Callosa is surrounded by a fertile plain that is irrigated by the Río Segura . In the Sierra there are settlement remains from the El Argar culture as well as from the times of the Iberians , Romans and Muslim rule. The archaeological museum in Callosa de Segura shows finds from the Sierra de Callosa.
