The house at Sieverstorstraße 40 is a listed residential and commercial building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

It is located on the north side of Sieverstorstraße in Magdeburg's Alte Neustadt district . Immediately to the west is the also listed building at Sieverstorstrasse 41 . The site of the former brewery is on the opposite side of the street .
Architecture and history
The four and a half storey house was built in 1887 based on a design by the builders Riechert and Schöckel for the master blacksmith Jabusch. The eight-axis facade of the brick building has structured plaster elements in the neo-renaissance style , with decorative neo-baroque elements made of stucco. The two outer axes emerge as flat risalits . The main floor of the building located above the window crowning in the form of triangular gables or segmental arches .
Currently (as of 2019) the house is empty and in need of renovation.
In the local register of monuments , the residential and commercial building is listed as a monument under registration number 094 81854 .
As part of a preserved Wilhelminian era street, the house is considered to be characteristic of the street scene.
