Sievert Jürgen von Ahlefeldt († 1594 ) was lord of the noble estate Aschau .

Life

He was the son of the noble landlord Jürgen von Ahlefeldt († 1546) and his wife Catharine nee. von Breide, daughter of Otto Povlsen Breide († 1544), lord of Søbygaard. Sievert's wife was Anna geb. von Deden, daughter of Zacharias Petersen von Deden († 1577). From this marriage a son emerged, Zacharias von Ahlefeldt († 1609). Sievert Jürgen von Ahlefeldt was involved in the settlement that settled the dispute over fishing rights in Eckernförde Bay between the town of Eckernförde and the aristocratic lords of the area. In addition to the Aschau estate, he owned another farm with ten plow fields, which he later transferred to his son. In 1592 von Ahlefeldt took part in the homage of the estates for the Archbishop of Bremen and Duke von Gottorf Johann Adolf (1575-1616), but remained due to physical weakness of the homage to the King Christian IV of Denmark and Norway (1577-1648) in September 1593 in Flensburg . Sievert Jürgen von Ahlefeldt died in Holy Week of 1594 and was buried in the St. Jürgen Church in Gettorf .
