Life
During the Schmalkaldic Religious War in 1546, when Duke Ulrich von Württemberg and other princes fell out of favor with Emperor Charles V, he defended Tübingen Castle with the local bailiff Ulrich Schilling von Cannstatt for a long time against the imperial family, although the castle was called on three times to surrender.
