Signe Sjølund Pedersen (born June 12, 1992 in Roskilde , Denmark ) is a former Danish handball player .
Career
Sjølund started playing handball at Viby Sjælland when he was five. Right-handed Roskilde Håndbold joined when she was eleven . After the backcourt player went hunting for goals for GOG Svendborg TGI , she returned to Roskilde. With the women's team from Roskilde she played in the highest Danish league. In 2011 Sjølund moved to the Danish first division club Aalborg DH .
Sjølund had a serious knee injury while at Aalborg. Since she had to take a long break due to the injury, her contract was terminated by mutual agreement on November 30, 2012. In the summer of 2013 she signed a contract with the first division club København Håndbold . After Sjølund suffered another serious knee injury in the 2015/16 season, she decided to end her career in April 2016.
Sjølund won the gold medal at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympic Games . In 2011 she was about to make her international debut with the Danish women's handball team , but an injury prevented her from participating in the game.

Signe Sjølund is in a relationship with the Danish soccer player Nicolai Boilesen .
