Sigrid Blömeke
Sigrid Blömeke (born December 7, 1965 in Olsberg ) is a German educational scientist and professor for systematic didactics and teaching research at the Humboldt University in Berlin .
Life
From 1985 to 1991 Blömeke studied history, social sciences, psychology and educational science in Paderborn for teaching at the secondary level II.
In 1999 a dissertation on the history of elementary school teacher training after 1945 followed, in 2001 the habilitation thesis on the acquisition of skills in university teacher training and the award of the Venia legendi for the subject of educational science . In 2002 she was offered a professorship for media education with a focus on new media at the University of Hamburg and a little later a professorship for systematic didactics and teaching research at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She held a research professorship for the measurement of competency among mathematics teachers at Michigan State University (USA) for 2007-2008.
Blömeke also worked as a freelancer for various daily and city newspapers and as a youth education officer for the Democratic Initiative and as the managing director of the teacher training center at the University of Paderborn .
Scientific focus
These include evaluation and performance measurement (qualitative and quantitative methods) and especially competence measurement, the international comparison of teacher training , empirical teaching-learning research with new media, interventions to change teacher behavior, school pedagogy and systematic didactics, the reform of teacher training, dealing with heterogeneity and the history of education and science in the 19th and 20th centuries.
