Sikiru Adewale Adeyemi (born July 2, 1998 ) is a Nigerian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Athletic career

Sikiru Adeyemi gained his first international experience in 2014 at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , where he was eliminated with the Nigerian 4 x 400 meter relay with 3: 09.37 minutes in advance. The following year he finished fifth at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa in the 400-meter run in 47.32 seconds and won the bronze medal in the relay in 3: 11.20 minutes. Then he was fourth at the African Youth Championships in Réduit in the 400-meter hurdles in 53.81 s before he also came fourth at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Apia over 400 meters in 47.69 s. In 2019 he took part in the African Games in Rabat with the relay and won the bronze medal there in 3: 03.42 minutes behind the teams from Botswana and South Africa.
