Silke Pielen (born August 29, 1955 in Nordhorn ) is a former German swimmer who competed for the Federal Republic of Germany . She won an Olympic bronze medal in 1972.

Silke Pielen started for Waspo Nordhorn until 1971 and then switched to the DSV School Max Ritter Saarbrücken . From 1974 she joined the Swimming and Sportfreunde Bonn in 1905 . At the 1970 European Swimming Championships in Barcelona , she was eleventh over the 200 meter back course. In 1971 and 1972 she won the German championship title in the 100 meter back distance. At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich she was eighth on this route in 1: 07.36 minutes. With the layer relay made up of Silke Pielen, Verena Eberle , Gudrun Beckmann and Heidemarie Reineck , she won bronze behind the relay from the USA and the GDR .

On September 11, 1973, she was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf for her athletic achievements .
