Silva Seeler

Silva Seeler (born January 8, 1951 in Hamburg ) is a German politician. She was a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament from 1990 to 2013 .

After graduating from high school, Seeler studied at the Lüneburg University of Education . After passing the 2nd state examination, she taught children who were not capable of school. After a time as a housewife, she worked in the office of the Bundestag member Ingomar Hauchler from 1985 until her election to the state parliament .

Seeler has been a member of the SPD since 1973 . From 1976 to 1986 she was a councilor for the municipality of Appel and chairwoman of the local SPD parliamentary group; from 2011 to 2014 she was a member of the city council of Buchholz in der Nordheide . From 1990 to 2013 Silva Seeler was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament, from 2003 to 2008 she was vice-president of the state parliament. In the state election in 2013 it did not happen again.
