Silversurfer is a German-speaking rock / rap band that has existed since 1998.

history

The band was founded in 1998 in Bad Salzuflen ( Lippe ). In addition to their live performances and tours through Germany, Silversurfer became known above all for the first Jägermeister : Rockliga, where they came third alongside 4Lyn . Silversurfer also excel for various rock remixes for Glashaus and Sabrina Setlur .

Silversurfer play a mix of rock, rap and electronic samples.

In 2005, after various limited releases, the band released their first album Hart vorwärts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and Japan.

As early as autumn 2007, a first new title called Nothing to Lose for the film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer appeared online exclusively. In this, the band dealt musically and lyrically with their namesake, the Marvel comic figure . The online single was released on the Münster label Duck Dive Music.

Birger Puls (vocals) left the band from October 2009 to May 2012.

In 2010 singer Akeem (Axel Bessler) created a remix for the Linkin Park single The Catalyst . A self-made music video collage from live clips by Linkin Park, which he cut for a remix for fun, quickly achieved over 100,000 clicks on YouTube. Allegedly they have been working on new songs again since autumn 2011.

Singer Akeem (Axel Bessler) died on May 3, 2012. According to Facebook, Birger Puls has returned to the band and is working on releasing the old material.
