Silvia Cuminetti

Silvia Cuminetti (born January 29, 1985 in Bergamo ) is an Italian ski mountaineer .

She started ski mountaineering in 2001 and in the same year took part in her first competition, the “Gara in Val di Rezzalo” in Bormio . She has been a member of the Italian national ski mountaineering team since 2002. She was already a European and world champion.

In 2007 she reached fifth place at the Trofeo Mezzalama with Tamara Lunger and Fabienne Chanoine and was able to take third place at the European Championships among young female athletes ( Espoirs ) in the vertical race and fourth in ski mountaineering. In the same year she started in all three individual World Cups (Single, Team and Vertical Race) and finished 3rd in the junior ranking and 8th in the overall ranking. At the 2008 World Ski Mountaineering Championships , she finished 9th in a team with Tamara Lunger.

Cuminetti is a member of the CAMOSCI - Gruppo Alpinisti Bergamaschi.
