Silvia Herrera lives in San Carlos de Bariloche and trains in Buenos Aires. The married soldier starts for Club de Montaña Cazadores de los Andes and is trained by Carlos Gaston Fanti. Between 2004 and 2006 she competed internationally in the European Biathlon Cup . In her first race, an individual in Obertilliach , she did not finish. It wasn't until a week later that she was able to finish a race for the first time in the same place as the 35th of a sprint.
