Silvia Hofman (born October 29, 1981 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch handball player .

She started playing handball at the DJK Amsterdam at the age of seven . She later played for Aristos , OSC Amsterdam , AHV Kwiek , Hellas and Quintus .

The 1.76 m tall back player has been under contract with German clubs since 2003, with HSG Blomberg-Lippe in 2003/04 , with THC Erfurt from 2004–2006 and again with Blomberg-Lippe in 2006/07. From the 2007/08 season she played at DJK / MJC Trier , where she proved her skill level in the first competitive game at Thuringian HC as the best goalscorer of the game with 8 goals. In the summer of 2009 Hofman moved to the second division club SV Union Halle-Neustadt , for which they ran up one season. After Hofman then played for the Dutch club VOC Amsterdam, she moved to the French club Entente Sportive Bisontine Féminin from Besançon in January 2011 . In December 2011 her contract was terminated by mutual agreement.

She completed 169 international matches for the Netherlands and took part in the World Championships in Italy and Russia, as well as in the European Championships in Denmark and Sweden.
