Silvio Dal Cin

Silvio Dal Cin (* unknown; † May 3, 1954 in Ghedi ) was an Italian racing driver .

Racing career

Silvio Dal Cin had a fatal accident at a motorsport event in 1954, after the race. Dal Cin started together with Ferdinando Mancini on a Maserati A6GCS in the 1954 Mille Miglia . The duo took turns at the wheel of the Maserati, which was canceled on the way back from Rome after a puncture. The car fell out of the classification and was driven back to Brescia after the repair of the rim by Mancini on the classification route. For reasons unknown to this day, Mancini lost control of the Maserati at high speed in the city of Ghedi . A pedestrian - the man was a delicatessen seller in Ghedi - was run over and Dal Cin was thrown out of the car. While the pedestrian died on the spot, Dal Cin died of serious injuries in a hospital the next day.

Silvio Dal Cin was active in sports car racing in the early 1950s . His best place was second overall with partner Guido Mancini in the Pescara 12-hour race in 1953 .
