The Simmerner Mulde is a sunken high trough of the low mountain range Hunsrück in Rhineland-Palatinate , Germany .

geography

The Simmerner Mulde is delimited in the south and east by the Lützelsoon , the Soonwald and the Binger Wald . In the west and north, the Mulde is delimited by the Idarwald and the slowly rising plateau between Kappel and Kastellaun . The average altitude is 350 m above sea level. NN.

geology

The soils consist of clayey slate weathered rock, loam and clay.

Land use

The landscape is varied, in addition to forestry with deciduous and coniferous forests, the plateaus are used for arable farming. Streams mainly flow south through the flat meadow valleys.
