Simon Friedrich Rueß (born January 5, 1713 in Dürrmenz ; † October 28, 1748 in Stuttgart ) was a German philosopher and historian and professor at the University of Tübingen .

Life

Simon Friedrich Rueß enrolled in 1733 to study at the Evangelical Monastery in Tübingen .

He became a master's degree in 1733 and a deacon in Stuttgart in 1743 and a full professor of eloquence, poetry and history at the University of Tübingen in 1747.

His portrait, painted in 1748, hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery .
