Simon II (Saarbrücken)
Simon II of Saarbrücken († after 1207 ) was 1183–1207 Count of Saarbrücken .
Life
Simon was a son of Count Simon I of Saarbrücken and his wife Mechtild (von Sponheim?). After the death of his father, the property was divided. Simon followed as Count of Saarbrücken, his younger brother Heinrich founded the County of Zweibrücken . After his death, his son Simon follows him as Count of Saarbrücken. After the Counts of Leiningen died out , the younger son Friedrich inherited their property around 1220 and founded the younger line of the Counts of Leiningen. The son Heinrich and the grandson Raugraf Emich officiated as bishops of Worms .

Simon was married to Liutgard von Leiningen († after 1239) daughter of Emich III. , Count of Leiningen. Her descendants were:
