Simon Jenko
Simon Jenko (born October 27, 1835 in Podreča , Austrian Empire , † October 18, 1869 in Kranj , Austria-Hungary ) was a Slovenian poet .
He is considered to be the most important lyric poet in Slovenian literature during Romanticism and Realism . Among other things, Simon Jenko wrote the text of the old Slovenian national anthem Naprej zastava slave .
