Simon Kolar

Simon Kolar (born February 23, 1990 in Schwetzingen ) is a German chef , entertainer , entrepreneur and influencer with Polish roots . He is the ambassador of the Institute of Culinary Art , as well as the founder and leader of the Guerilla Chefs , a network of young cooks and food enthusiasts who want to revolutionize the profession of the chef and make it attractive again.

Life

As the son of a family of restaurateurs, he was born into gastronomy . Mother Maria Kolar, born in Breslau (Poland), came to Germany at the age of 18 and started her own business at a young age. Together with his father Peter Kolar, they successfully managed several catering establishments in the Mannheim area .

After his completed mid-maturity and graduating from a commercial high school he moved to Poland Kolar. There Kolar studied hotel, tourism and event management. He ran his mother's wedding and event center. At the age of 23 Kolar moved back to Germany and opened his first restaurant “Löwen” in Mannheim. From here the career as a chef and influencer began.

After working with well-known companies from the food industry, he became the ambassador of the Institute of Culinary Art in Hamburg . The guerrilla bosses were born at a major event in the Hotel Estrel in Berlin . Kolar cooked the elite of the food industry here with 20 chefs who met on the same day and previously only communicated via social media.

Today, the Guerilla Chefs are the fastest growing network of chefs with a free online academy, the Guerilla Chefs app, and an educational network that operates across Germany in cooperation with the Institute of Culinary Art .
