Simon Rich

Simon Rich (born June 5, 1984 in New York City ) is an American humorist, novelist and television writer; he is the youngest writer ever recruited for Saturday Night Live . His humorous collection Ant Farm: And Other Desperate Situations was nominated for the Thurber Prize .

Life

His father Frank Rich writes for the New York Times . The novelist and essayist Nathaniel Rich is his brother.

Rich graduated from The Dalton School ( Upper East Side , New York) and then enrolled at Harvard University , where he became chairman of the Harvard Lampoon . In 2007, the fifth year of his bachelor's degree, he was awarded a two-book contract from Random House .
