Simon Sundström (born February 4, 1998 ) is a Swedish athlete who specializes in obstacle course .

Athletic career

Simon Sundström gained his first international experience in 2015 when he retired from the 2000 meter obstacle course at the Youth World Championships in Cali with 6: 17.18 minutes in the first round. Two years later he finished sixth at the U20 European Championships in Grosseto in 9: 04.69 minutes and in 2019 he won the bronze medal at the U23 European Championships in Gävle in 8: 45.82 minutes behind the German Frederik Ruppert and Alexis Phelut from France. In December he finished 51st in the U23 class after 26:07 minutes at the European Cross Country Championships in Lisbon .

In 2019 Sundström became the Swedish champion in the 3,000-meter obstacle course.
