Simon Woods

Simon Woods (* 1980 in England ) is a British actor .

Life

He attended Eton College and studied English at Magdalen College , Oxford. In 2005, he starred in the film version of Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice (Pride and Prejudice) the role of Charles Bingley, who falls in love with Jane Bennet who by actress Rosamund Pike was represented. The two were also a couple in real life until 2003. Director Joe Wright praised the professionalism of the two during the shoot in an interview. He became known to German television viewers in 2007 through the role of Octavian in the TV series Rom (Rome) . In the same year Simon Woods took part in Cranford, a BBC series based on the works of Elizabeth Gaskell , where he played the young doctor Frank Harrison.

Simon Woods is married to the fashion designer Christopher Bailey ; the two raise two daughters.
