Simone Faggioli (born July 24, 1978 in Florence ) is an Italian hill climber . He won the Italian national championship three times and the European mountain championship five times .

As a child he drove mini-cross motorcycles and karts . In 1997, at the age of 19, he made his debut in hill climbs with a Renault Clio Williams in group N up to 2000 cc. With two wins, four second and two third places, he won the Italian Clio Cup .

In 1998 he switched to a Ford Escort Cosworth with a displacement of 3000 cc. In the third race of the season he switched to the Osella team on an Osella PA20 from Group CN , which he also moved the following year as part of the Italian Mountain Championship (CIVM). In 2000 the vehicle got a new BMW engine and Simone Faggioli won the CIVM with nine wins and a second place out of ten races.

In 2001 and 2002 he continued to play in the Italian mountain championship. In 2003 he participated in both the CIVM and the EBM . He won the CIVM for the second time, undercutting the course records of all races. In 2004 he became the official driver of both Osella and the tire supplier Marangoni SpA. The vehicle was an Osella PA21S with a Honda engine. In 2005, with this combination, he won his first title as European champion in category 2 (racing car) . Five more titles followed from 2009 to 2013.

Up to and including 2013 be sports equipment was an Osella FA30-Zytek, one on a formula vehicle -based seater with clad wheels.

He has been driving a Norma M20 FC since 2014 and is once again the favorite to win the European Hill Climb Championship in 2014 .

Simone Faggioli is also the owner of countless course records in Italy and Europe, which he often undercuts himself when the weather conditions are right. At his first Italian hill climb championship, he was the youngest driver to do that.
