Simone Janson

Simone Janson (* 1976 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German non-fiction author , blogger and publisher .

biography

Simone Janson grew up in a social democratic working class family and studied history and linguistics in Heidelberg, Bonn and Siena (Italy). After completing her master's degree in 2003, she initially worked as an editor for two magazines for the Federal Employment Agency . She has also written or contributed to several books. Texts by her were also adopted in school books, e.g. B. blog posts or an excerpt from her 2011 published book "Nackt im Netz". Janson also wrote as a freelance writer for ZEIT , WELT or Wirtschaftswoche on career and management topics.

With more than 100 specialist authors, Janson has been running a blog since 2003 which, according to ZEIT ONLINE, is "one of the most widely read blogs for work, education and careers in Germany". In 2012 she reported e.g. B. via the “We are VDI” initiative. The background to this was the discussion on the shortage of skilled workers in Germany. From 2011 onwards, Janson published repeatedly on the subject of the shortage of skilled workers and was featured in the 2014 ARD report “The Labor Market Report - the fairy tale of the shortage of skilled workers” by Ulrike Bremer.

In 2018 Janson founded a publishing house based in Düsseldorf, where she a. a. also published her own books.
