Simone Machado Rebmann

Simone Machado Rebmann (born May 6, 1969 ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens or GaP Bern ).

Life

Simone Machado Rebmann comes from a working-class family. After dropping out of high school, she worked in agriculture and trained as a qualified farmer. Machado Rebmann helped out on various farms and cultivated the Alps in Lauterbrunnen Valley in the Bernese Oberland for twelve summers . In her early thirties, she made up her school- leaving certificate and then studied law at the universities of Friborg and Bern . After completing his studies, Machado Rebmann worked as a lawyer for Daniele Jenni until 2007 and then for a Zurich law firm.

With her candidacy for the office of governor of the Bern-Mittelland administrative district , Simone Machado Rebmann prevented Christoph Lerch from being re-elected . In 2012, he saw himself in the city of Bern due to his leadership of the v. a. exposed to public pressure in connection with the Reithalle cultural center , but clearly prevailed against Machado Rebmann in the 2013 election.

From 2014 to 2018 Simone Machado Rebmann was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . She was a member of the Greens parliamentary group and sat on the security commission for them. She is a member of the European Association of Lawyers for Democracy and Human Rights and was a board member of the Democratic Lawyers Bern .
