Simone Seitz

Simone Seitz (* 1968 ) is a German educator .

Life

In 1995 she passed the 1st state examination for teaching special needs education at the University of Cologne and in 1998 the 2nd state examination teaching special needs education in Cologne . From 1998 to 2001 she was a teacher for special education at various integrative elementary schools in Cologne. From 2001 to 2003 she received a Georg Christoph Lichtenberg scholarship for a doctorate in the doctoral program “Didactic teaching and learning research. Didactic Reconstruction ”at the University of Oldenburg . From 2003 to 2004 she was a research assistant at the PH Heidelberg (Institute for Special Education). After completing her doctorate in 2004 on the subject of time for inclusive teaching in Ollnborg , Faculty of Education and Social Sciences, Institute for Pedagogy, she was a research assistant ( postdoc ) at the University of Dortmund (Institute for General Didactics and School Pedagogy; Chair Barbara Koch-Priewe ) from 2004 to 2005 ). From 2005 to 2006 she represented the professorship for education for the mentally handicapped at the University of Bremen . In 2008 she turned down the offer for the W2 professorship in the field of pedagogy for the mentally handicapped at the University of Flensburg . From 2006 to 2009 she taught at the W1 professorship in Bremen , Faculty of Education, Subject Area Inclusive Pedagogy (with a focus on intellectual development). In 2010, she turned down the offer of the W2 professorship for material teaching and inclusive didactics at the University of Hanover . From 2009 to 2014 she was W2 professor at the University of Bremen, Faculty of Education, Subject Area Inclusive Education. From 2014 to 2019 she held the W2 professorship at the University of Paderborn , Institute for Educational Science, subject area inclusion and special needs education. Since 2020 she has been teaching as a professor for general didactics with a focus on inclusion at the University of Bolzano .
