Sinem Sakaoglu

Sinem Sakaoglu (Turkish: Sinem Sakaoğlu ; * in Ankara ) is a Turkish-American-German puppet cartoon director.

Life

After attending an American school in Turkey, she studied linguistics and after some journalistic work and work in business consulting, she moved to Los Angeles. In 2000, she began there with the production of her own stop-motion cartoon ("Eva"). In 2004 she began studying at the Hamburg Animation School. After working on the cartoon The Three Robbers (2007) by Hayo Freitag based on the children's book by Tomi Ungerer and on "Jasper and the Limonadenkomplott" , her first own film hit the cinemas with The Sandman - Adventure in Dreamland . In 2010 Sakaoglu is working on the concept for a TV series entitled "Klara 'n' Rumms" .

Awards

Her graduation film at HAS "Bo" , for which she worked out the story, the storyboard and the character design, won the Hamburg Animation Award.

Movie
