The Sinjaja ( Russian Синяя , Yakut Сиинэ ) is a left tributary of the Lena in the Sakha Republic in eastern Siberia .
The Sinjaja has its origin in Lake Tampa-Ottoowo . It flows through the Lena Plateau in a predominantly east-southeast direction and flows into the Lena after 597 km about 150 km southwest of Yakutsk on the left. The Sinjaja drains an area of 30,900 km². The Sinjaja is ice-covered between October and May (50–80 days). The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge 38 km above the mouth is 42 m³ / s. Important tributaries are Matta , Mekele , Tschyra and Nuoraldyma from the left and Changdaryma , Appaja and Tschyna from the right.
