The Skalina Point (English; Bulgarian нос Скалина nos Skalina ) is an icy headland on the southeast coast of Smith Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 11.7 km northeast of Cape James , 3 km southeast of Neofit Peak and 4.6 km southwest of Sredets Point on the southwest side of the entrance to Yarebitsa Cove .
Bulgarian scientists mapped it in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after the village of Skalina in southern Bulgaria .
