The Sredets Point (English; Bulgarian нос Средец nos Sredez ) is a 400 m long and icy headland on the southeast coast of Smith Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 16.9 km southwest of Cape Smith , 16.3 km northeast of Cape James and 3.4 km southeast of Antim Peak . The headland separates the mouth of the Kriwodol Glacier in the north from that of the Pashuk Glacier in the south.
Bulgarian scientists mapped them in 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named them in 2015 after the town of Sredez in the Burgas Oblast in the south-east and the town of Sredez in the Stara Sagora Oblast in the south of Bulgaria .
