The Hinterstoder-Höss ski area is a winter sports area in Hinterstoder , Upper Austria . It offers 12 lifts with 40 kilometers of slopes and the Hannes Trinkl World Cup run, a slope on which the Alpine Ski World Cup is held. The ski area extends from the valley town of Hinterstoder 600 m above sea level. A. to the Schafkögel at around 2000 m above sea level. A. A cable car and a toll road lead to the Hutterer floors at 1400 m above sea level. A. Chair lifts connect the Hutterer floors with the Hutterer Höss at 1800 m above sea level. A. In summer the area is used as an alpine pasture and hiking area.
3 Super-Gs and 4 giant slaloms have been held since 2006 . The Hannes Trinkl World Cup course was officially opened in January 2006. It was named after the world champion Hannes Trinkl , who grew up in the region , is 3.5 km long and has a gradient of up to 60%. The first World Cup races were supposed to take place on it in December 2006, but due to the lack of snow the races, a Super-G and a giant slalom, were held in higher altitudes on the "classification". In 2020 an Alpine Combined event was held for the first time .
